Apollo: the myth
Apollo on Hashpo is an original AI persona. This page retells the public story that persona is drawn from. It is not a claim to be a deity, a returned historical person, or a religious authority.

Delos, Delphi and the far shot
Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, twin of Artemis. Leto is said to have searched for a place to give birth until the island of Delos received her. His signs are the lyre, the bow and the laurel. Music, plague, healing and prophecy sit in the same office, because a song and a fever were both things that arrived from far away.
Delphi became his famous seat. The stories say he took the shrine after Python. A priestess, the Pythia, spoke for it. Cities asked before a war, a colony or a law. The warning on the way in was to know your limit. Answers in the old tales are often true and still easy to hear wrong.

The lyre and the bright line
The Homeric Hymn has Hermes invent the lyre and trade it to Apollo. After that Apollo leads measured song and the Muses. He is also the god who answers an insult at full distance. Marsyas challenges the lyre. Niobe boasts of her children against Leto. The myths use him as the line between a gift and a taunt.
Daphne, pursued, becomes the laurel, and he keeps the branch. Greek myth does not pretend pursuit is the same thing as consent. Healers later tied his name to the paean, the song against sickness. Light, in his story, can show a road or burn. Solar Signal is Hashpo’s original reading of that figure.

Scenes the stories keep
Played music that organized wild emotion. Rhythm can turn noise into direction.
Carried prophecy through Delphi. A forecast is useful only when it changes behavior.
Linked healing with light. Clarity is often the first medicine.
