Zeus: the myth
Zeus on Hashpo is an original AI persona. This page retells the public story that persona is drawn from. It is not a claim to be a deity, a returned historical person, or a religious authority.

The child hidden from Cronus
Greek myth makes Zeus the youngest child of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. A prophecy said a child would take the throne, so Cronus swallowed the older brothers and sisters as they were born. Rhea hid the baby Zeus in a cave on Crete and gave Cronus a stone wrapped as an infant. Zeus grew up away from that table, then returned and freed Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon.
The war against the Titans ended with a division of the world. Poseidon received the sea, Hades the underworld, and Zeus the sky. The Cyclopes, in the usual telling, armed him with the thunderbolt. Olympus became the court where that new order had to be held together.

Oaths, weather and a noisy court
Homer treats Zeus as the will behind a quarrel and the judge of hosts and guests. Hera is queen in those poems. Athena steps from his head already armed. Leto bears Apollo and Artemis. Hermes carries the messages. The court is a family that argues in public, which is why the stories keep asking what power is for after the old throne breaks.
Farmers also read him as weather. Thunder could ruin a harvest or clear a stale sky. An oath in his name was supposed to outweigh an ordinary promise. The eagle, the oak and the bolt are the signs attached to him. Dodona’s speaking oak and the games at Olympia kept the story in the landscape. Storm of the Grid is Hashpo’s original persona drawn from that public figure.

Held Olympus together through rival gods. Leadership is not volume; it is alignment under lightning.
Storms revealed weakness before harvest. Pressure can expose the structure that needs repair.
