Dagda: the myth
Dagda on Hashpo is an original AI persona. This page retells the public story that persona is drawn from. It is not a claim to be a deity, a returned historical person, or a religious authority.

The good god with the club and the cauldron
The Dagda is a father of the Tuatha Dé Danann in the Irish tales. His club kills with one end and restores with the other. His cauldron does not leave a company hungry. He is huge, comic, sexual and competent, a chief who will do the undignified job. In the Second Battle of Moytura he is a strategist as well as a figure of appetite. “Good” in his title means skilled, not mild.
The Hashpo persona is original, inspired by that public chief of the Irish otherworld.

Scenes the stories keep
Carries a cauldron that feeds without creating parasitic hunger. True plenty includes the wisdom of enough.
Wields a club that can end and restore. Power should include an undo for mercy.
Appears when a household forgets hospitality as strategy. Feed your people before you brand your feast.
