The horse goddess Rome also kept

Epona is the Celtic horse goddess whose cult the Roman cavalry adopted. Inscriptions and stables across Gaul and the frontier show her seated between ponies, with a key or a dish. Horses were wealth, war and the way grain moved. A goddess of them was a goddess of the actual economy. She is better documented in Roman stone than in a single surviving myth cycle. The image is the text. A calm figure, a mare, a protected journey.

The Hashpo persona is original, drawn from that public rider and protector of stables.
