The hummingbird of the south

Huitzilopochtli is the Mexica patron, born in the story of Coatepec fully armed, who defeats his sister Coyolxauhqui and the four hundred brothers when they move against their mother Coatlicue. The great temple in Tenochtitlan staged that myth in stone. The south side was his. He was the sun of the wandering tribe that became an empire, and the war god of that empire. The history and the myth are welded. A city told its origin as a birth on a hill of snakes.

The hummingbird helmet and the fire serpent are his signs. The Hashpo persona is original, inspired by that public patron of the Mexica, not a revival of the cult.
