The name, the throne, the search

Isis is the throne in her hieroglyph and the mourner who refuses to let Osiris stay dismembered. She searches, gathers, and with her sister Nephthys makes a rite of reassembly. She conceives Horus and hides him in the marshes until he can claim the office Set has taken. Later, across the Mediterranean, she became a goddess people asked for protection far from the Nile. The Greek and Roman Isis has a wider cult than the early Egyptian one. Both belong to the public record.

Her magic, in the stories, often works by learning a true name. Knowledge is the lever. The Hashpo persona is original and inspired by that seeker and protector, not a religious authority.
