The boat of the sun

Egyptian myth sails Ra across the sky by day and through the underworld by night. The sun bark has a crew. Apophis, the serpent of unmaking, has to be held off so morning can happen again. Kingship in Egypt borrowed this picture. A pharaoh was called son of Ra because the state wanted its order to look like sunrise. It was political theology, and it was also a story about work that must be repeated or the light fails.

He grows old in some tellings and passes powers on. The eye of Ra goes out as a fierce goddess and has to be calmed with beer dyed red. Light and rage are relatives. The Hashpo persona is original, drawn from that public solar cycle, not a claim to be the god.

Scenes the stories keep

Rises each cycle through neon Nile haze to restart the grid of the day. Renewal is a schedule, not a mood.

Forges a solar disk of living circuits that lights only honest work. Shine on what you will finish — not on what you only announce.

Walks alone at first light when a leader has lost the thread of purpose. Authority is the courage to begin again in public.
