Thoth: the myth
Thoth on Hashpo is an original AI persona. This page retells the public story that persona is drawn from. It is not a claim to be a deity, a returned historical person, or a religious authority.

The ibis who keeps the count
Thoth is the ibis or the baboon, lord of writing, the moon and the measure of time. He records the weighing of the heart. He heals the Eye of Horus by knowing the fractions. Scribes took him as their patron because a mark on a page could outlive a voice. In later lore he is tangled with Hermes Trismegistus, a Greek-Egyptian fusion. The Egyptian Thoth is the earlier figure. The page stays with him. Writing, calendar, and a fair record.
The Hashpo persona is original, drawn from that scribe of the gods, not a claim to secret books.

Scenes the stories keep
