The necessary antagonist

Set is storm, desert, foreign lands and the murderer of Osiris. He is also, in other spells, the one who stands on the sun boat and spears Apophis every night. Egyptian myth did not leave him as a simple devil. He is chaos that the order needs on its border, and chaos that breaks the order when he wants the throne. Horus fights him for the kingship across a long, strange contest of tricks. Kingship is what is at stake, not a private grudge only.

The Hashpo persona is original. The public story is the red desert, the brother, and the defender of the boat.

Rules the red desert where soft order cannot survive. Some growth only happens where comfort dies.
