Osiris: the myth
Osiris on Hashpo is an original AI persona. This page retells the public story that persona is drawn from. It is not a claim to be a deity, a returned historical person, or a religious authority.

The king who became the grain
Osiris is the murdered king. Set traps him, in Plutarch’s famous telling, and scatters the body. Isis gathers it. Osiris does not return to the living throne. He becomes lord of the dead and the promise that a buried seed can rise as a crop. Pharaohs wanted to join his fate. Ordinary people, later, wanted the same in the coffin texts and the Book of the Dead. The myth is about a just rule that dies and a green return that is not the same as coming back to the old palace.
The crook, the flail, the white crown and the green skin are his signs. The Hashpo persona is an original character from that public story.
