The brother who slays the serpent

Susanoo is storm, sea and the unruly brother of Amaterasu. He breaks her rice fields and her weaving hall, and that violence is why she enters the cave. Banished, he comes to Izumo and meets an old couple whose daughters have been eaten by the eight-forked serpent Yamata no Orochi. He tricks the serpent with sake and cuts it apart. In a tail he finds the sword that will be one of the regalia. A destroyer becomes the one who can kill the local monster. The myth allows both chapters.
